Gothic Carved Oak Hanging Shelf, c.1880An exceptional Neo Gothic carved oak three tier hanging shelf of superb proportions, c. 1880. The crocketed pierced gallery sits above three rectangular shelves flanked by grotesque masks with gothic arched sides. The whole piece is exceptionally well carved with extraordinary attention to detail throughout. There are some small losses, must notably one leaf of the centre raised spindle, and a notch to the right front spire (please see photographs).
